We are delighted to report our participation in the United Nations/Romania International Conference on Space Solutions for Sustainable Agriculture and Precision Farming which will pe taking place in Cluj, between 6th and 10th of May 2019.
The event, which is jointly organized by United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the Government of Romania, through the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), is aiming to address key issues related to the utilization of space technologies and solutions for sustainable agriculture, addressing a number of indicators and targets under the Sustainable Development Goals framework and considering the challenges related to food security worldwide, with increasing populations and corresponding pressures on the available agricultural land.
The conference programme will include a series of keynote presentations and technical sessions with enough time set aside for discussion. Each technical session will be followed by an open discussion focusing on specific topics of interest and providing additional opportunities for participants to voice their opinions.
You can be present at our company’s presentation “Sentinel-2 for Agriculture Project: Towards Sentinel-2 Exploitation for Agriculture Monitoring”, on May 8th at 9:30 during Session 5 regarding Monitoring agriculture space and aerial platforms.
The conference will be hosted by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (USAMV) in Cluj-Napoca and is supported by the Office for Soil Science and Agrochemistry (OSPA), Cluj, and the Romanian Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (SRFT).
