CS GROUP – ROMANIA announces that its TAO-based Data Processing as a Service implementation has been officially included in the ESA NoR (Network of Resources) and APEx (Application Propagation Environments) catalogues. In addition to EO processing services, the NoR onboarding also includes TAO’s User Algorithm Hosting capabilities.
The ESA NoR initiative provides users with access to European EO cloud services and infrastructures, while APEx focuses on accelerating the transition from EO research activities to operational cloud-based services and fair-compliant implementations.
TAO (Tool Augmentation by user enhancements and Orchestration) is a lightweight orchestration and distributed EO processing framework designed to integrate heterogeneous EO processing toolboxes and enable scalable cloud-based workflow execution.
The platform provides access to a broad range of Earth Observation processing services based on Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and Landsat data, supporting applications such as crop type mapping, agricultural practices monitoring, burned area detection and many more.
This milestone represents an important recognition of the platform’s technical maturity and expands its visibility within the European Earth Observation ecosystem.
