Jupiter ICy moons Explorer (JUICE) is a candidate mission for the first L-class launch slot in ESA’s Cosmic Vision Programme foreseen in 2022. The objective of the JUICE mission is the investigation of Jupiter and its icy moons, Callisto, Ganymede and Europa. It addresses the question of whether possible habitats of life are provided underneath the surfaces of the icy satellites and also probes Jupiter’s atmosphere and magnetosphere.

Being part of the mission’s core team, CS GROUP – ROMANIA has the following responsibilities:

• JUICE spacecraft operations support, which encompasses the validation of Operational Procedures, the development and validation of On-Board Control procedures and the development/validation of the JUICE Spacecraft User’s Manual navigation tool;
• JUICE database support.
